Everybody loses files; it’s just a matter of time until it happens to you. Whether you have an unstable system as a result of a faulty program you downloaded online or have deleted something vital by accident, you are going to lose something you need one of these days. There are quite a few solutions to this problem, but one very convenient solution is to pick up a file recovery program. R-Studio is one such program and we’ll be reviewing it here.
The first thing I always look for after downloading new software and getting it up and running is the intuitiveness of the program. R-Studio was a snap to download and get going (only taking a few minutes for each step), and thankfully it was just as easy to use.
Many such programs will either come off as completely half-cocked and unwieldy or make you feel like an idiot as you try to understand exactly what you’re supposed to be doing. R-Studio is very interactive and doesn’t require you to be a programmer to “get” it. Everything is plainly labeled and laid out for you to use. It’s very easy to get a scan going, and once it’s done you can decide on which files you want to recover.
What about file recovery
So what about file recovery? That’s what it’s all about, after all. After trying out R-Studio on one of my PCs that has seen a lot of wear and tear, I found a few things.
First, this program is thorough – that’s a good thing. On the other hand, it takes quite a long time to find and recover all those files. I consider that a pretty good trade-off, however.
Another thing to note is that it didn’t recover everything. Don’t get me wrong, it recovered a whole lot more than other file recovery programs I’ve used, but there were a few files I knew that could have been recovered that simply weren’t, but that’s just the way it goes – you’ll never find a file recovery program that’s 100% perfect every time. R-Studio does come pretty darn close, however.
Pretty much the best file recovery program that I’ve ever used
Overall, I found R-Studio to be pretty much the best file recovery program that I’ve ever used. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s worth every penny and you definitely get what you pay for if you consider the fact that it can recover files from months – if not years – ago.
If you use your computer for business, R-Studio will definitely be worth it to you. Even if you just use your PC for personal use, you should consider picking up this software.
If you keep a lot of family photos on your computer like I do, you really don’t want to lose those precious memories. R-Studio is a great safety net to have around in case anything ever goes wrong and some files end up missing or get deleted accidently.
R-Studio is the only software that can retroactively recover files
You have a lot of options when it comes to file recovery, from online backup services to software programs you can download to do the same thing, but a file recovery program like R-Studio is the only software that can retroactively recover files.
If you lost some files and sign up for an online backup service, they’re not going to be able to help you with those files that are already gone – they can only recover anything lost form that point forward. R-Studio, I find, is definitely the top dog when it comes to these file recovery programs, so if you are going to get one, this should be the one.
