Everythings clean now and im still gettig freezes. Windows Live One Care keeps bugging me about I need to install Microsoft Critical Updates. I try to go to the website and it scans for what I need to view the website–does it on all microsoft computers- then itll say Internet Explorer has encountered an error and blah blah blah. I tried numerous times, still, nothing. I’ve tried uninstalling. but IE7 keeps popping up afterwards- it looks like IE6 but the cpu is takign it as 7- I have no diea what to do..
I HAVE done a system restore.

I would suggest doing a system restore to an earlier time when your computer actually worked. Believe it or not that fixes alot of computer issues. Dependingon how far back your data is stored and how long you’ve been having this issue. Also what version of Windows are you running? That might be helpfull to know.

You CPU might be over heating so it shuts itself down and well the computer freezes(actually it doesn’t freeze because the CPU is HOT but whatever) or you might have a virus. That might be it. It may be the time for a new computer(I love that tie!!!!)Also system resore. If you are running windows 98 than well it freezes because it is windows98 and it is OLD!!

the only thing that i can think of that might fix your problem would be to restore your computer. Then afterwards check if IE is working properly and install the necessary updates
