It's better to stop thinking "antivirus" programs will protect you.

Instead you should:

1. Set up and use almost exclusively a limited user account.

2. Google the phrase "social engineering" and read the first five results.=%22social+engineering%22&btnG=Google+Search

3. Install Windows updates automatically.

4. Use Firefox with the NoScript extension.

5. Turn off autorun in Windows:

6. Don't pirate music, movies, or software

<a href="http://kansieo.com/members">Caffeinated Content</a>

I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, I have recently added superantispyware and Malwarebytes. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I have just upgraded to AVG free 8.5 and all seems good so far. Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps

Avira AntiVir free edition is the best low on system resources, updates daily and the best detection rates around, and it even now has antispy protection you cant go wrong for free.,

I have had excellent results with Kaspersky !! Can't go wrong. One thing is for certain though....stay away from Norton/ symantec anything!!! I have the infected logs to prove they catch very little. Don't honestly know about the uniblue. I use the free Ccleaner for that.
