Jason W asked:

If I click on anything in all programs in start menu, it says windows cant open filename.lnk. I use internet to search for file extension info and it says its registry fault. I downloaded Registry Booster and bought full version and fixed everything but the problems still there. I even used full version of Registry Mechanic and it still persists. My computer cant even open shortcut files which are .lnk.

System Restore – go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore, restore to a time when this was not happening and then on your computer restarting run anti-virus and anti-spyware programs.

This should solve problem for you.
