We’re all looking forward to the day when there is just one ultimate video format that we all use for every application, but in the meantime we have to deal with a dozen or more different formats that at one point or another give us all headaches. Do you think that all you have to do is plug a device in or download a video and play it? Oh no, you have to make sure you have the right codec! This is just the basic appeal of a video converter, but there are lots of other things you can do with one. Let’s see how Xilisoft’s Video Converter Ultimate stacks up.
Getting the software set up and running was a snap, which is imperative in this day and age. If a user can’t even get past that step, there’s no need for the software. There’s no excuse for that, but it bears mentioning.

The internet has truly revolutionized the way that people do business. These days, you don’t need a storefront to make money, just a website. It has grown in size to the point that we now have businesses that serve internet businesses, i.e. software makers that make Autoresponders so that internet marketers can handle their massive email loads. One such Autoresponder is GetResponse.
There are dozens of autoresponders out there, so we’ve taken it upon ourselves to find out which ones are the real deal and which ones are garbage. Before you buy anything, of course, you should do some research (as we did) and see what other people are saying. Hopefully this review is one that you will find informative.

Your computer’s registry is one thing that most PC users never think about. The registry is necessary, but quite often houses all sorts of junk that just ends up slowing down your computer and causing all sorts of other problems. In other words, a jammed up registry equals an unhappy computer and an unhappy user. PC Tools’ Registry Mechanic is one of the weapons we can use in our war against jammed up registries.
Getting started, I found PC Tools’ Registry Mechanic to take a bit longer than other software to install, but I was using a computer that I knew was in dire need of a clean-up, so that may have factored into the increased installation time. Either way, it wasn’t so long that it was bothersome; it was just something I noticed.

Everybody loses files; it’s just a matter of time until it happens to you. Whether you have an unstable system as a result of a faulty program you downloaded online or have deleted something vital by accident, you are going to lose something you need one of these days. There are quite a few solutions to this problem, but one very convenient solution is to pick up a file recovery program. R-Studio is one such program and we’ll be reviewing it here.
The first thing I always look for after downloading new software and getting it up and running is the intuitiveness of the program. R-Studio was a snap to download and get going (only taking a few minutes for each step), and thankfully it was just as easy to use.

With the recent crackdowns on illegal file sharing, music lovers the world over are looking for new, clever ways to get the music they want. There are plenty of file sharing sites out there that exploit every little legal loophole they can find, but new laws are hitting the books constantly to battle them. Fortunately, a new program has come along that looks to be unstoppable. It’s called RadioTracker.
Many of us “old timers” remember listening to terrestrial radio with a cassette tape in the deck, ready to record out favorite songs. RadioTracker works in much the same way, but only with internet radio. Thousands of internet radio stations representing every sort of genre are constantly playing free music every day. RadioTracker tunes into these stations and allows you to record your favorite songs from them, turning them into mp3s!

The internet is chock-full of malware, viruses, worms, and Trojans, all waiting to get into your system and wreak havoc. As a result, it is absolutely vital that you take the necessary steps to protect you and your computer against hackers that seek to not only wreak havoc with your computer, but also with your very identity. Identity thieves have a lot of tricks up their collective sleeves, so you have to have all the right tools at your disposal. A registry cleaner such as RegistryFix is a good start.
Your computer’s registry is usually overlooked by most people. Hackers know this, so they create malicious programs that embed themselves in your registry so that they are not easily deleted. You can use the uninstall or the add/remove function in Control Panel, or even manually delete suspect files in your Program Files folder and still find dangerous bits left in your registry.

Despite the fact there are many other file types great for word processing, PDF files are still popular for use as pre-print files because of the many things you can do using them. They are great for arranging text, pictures and tables in a format suitable for professional printing. As such, many users will need to convert their files into PDFs if they wish to have the material published. Nuance’s PDF Create 6 is the perfect tool for the job.
